SCRC “SPIRIT OF GIVING GIFT GIVEAWAY” 2009

LOS ANGELES, CA, DECEMBER 12, 2009:  Second Chance Resource Center, a job training and community resource center, is hosting its annual “Spirit of Giving” Toy and Gift Giveaway on December 12, 2009 on its parking lot. This year’s theme is: “The Candy Land Carnival.” Bigger than last year’s event, SCRC will be giving away toys for kids and gifts for teens and adults. The carnival rides and games are free. The event will be held from 12-4pm.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Second Chance Resource Center understands “humble beginnings.” We started with $44, borrowed office space from St. Luke Restoration Christian Center, and a goal to assist anyone needing help finding a job or resources to connect them to a better life. Since opening, we have assisted Los Angeles residents in job training and placement.

Last year, our goal was to give away 1,000 toys, Christmas dinner, and gifts for families. Despite the economy, we did it and more. This year we are going even further. We are giving away more toys and gifts for families, carnival-style. Our organization is dedicated to spreading joy by ensuring our guests have a day filled with fun and gifts they might not otherwise receive.
